IN DEPTH

The Future is Now

Taos takes a bold step away from conventional gravel bikes with a stretched, slacker geometry – but everything we do is for a reason. From one look, you know it's not just a road bike with wide tires. The Taos is an all-new concept, purpose built to be addictively confidence inspiring.

The Taos' monocoque frame construction is not only extremely lightweight, it also makes for better power transfer. A torsionally stiff lower section, and compact, sloping front triangle makes the ride smoother, and you faster.

Intentional and Exceptional

The Taos’ progressive design and masterfully crafted carbon layup delivers an entirely new gravel experience. Taos’ long reach and slack head tube angle deliver confident, stable handling at speed, while it's lower bottom bracket and shorter chainstays smooth out rough terrain and keep you planted through corners and descents. Every line of the frame is tuned for traction, control, and a ride that feels effortless even on challenging gravel.

Improved stability at higher speeds and maximum power transfer give you an off-road machine that sails over chunk, eats up the flats, and flies up climbs. Plus, all six frame sizes have their own custom layup and geometry to deliver the same amazing ride from smallest to tallest.

Tarmac? Singletrack? Taos Does That

With a generous 50mm of tire clearance and suspension-corrected geometry, the off-road options are endless. Run it 1x or 2x with a removable front derailleur mount. Add a suspension fork without altering ride quality, or shop in the mountain bike tire section.

Taos' adaptability shines in it's ability to deliver a superior ride feel on differing terrain with just a tire swap—sleek, low-tread tires optimize it for pavement, while wider, knobby tires cushion the ride for rougher terrain.

A wealth of internal downtube storage space makes it easy to keep your essentials at hand. Combine that with fender mounts, top tube bag mounts, and stealth dropper seatpost routing and you have a bike that’s ready for any adventure, whether you're racing the clock or chasing daylight.

Lay it Bare

Handmade by artisans in Portugal, our precision layup process means there’s no dead weight. Each piece of carbon fiber ply is intentionally placed to create a frame that requires no cosmetic layers, filler, or bonding agents. So, unlike carbon frame building processes used in mass production, there’s nothing to cover up.

The reason we opt for a more intentional frame building process is because this practice results in a perfect finish, straight out of the mold. Which is why we offer it in a completely nude carbon with a wax finish. It also means no worry of paint chips, scratches, or other pesky cosmetic blemishes.

Made for You

Every frame is made one at a time, in small batches, then individually built to order at our US headquarters. Choose your frame size, then we'll use your measurements to pick fit elements that are a perfect match for your size and riding style. Pick a stock build and paint option, or choose your own - it's your bike after all.

Taos ships by default in a raw carbon waxed finish, with blue holographic logos - but the opportunities for customization are (almost) endless. Check out different logo color options, standard paint schemes, or explore completely custom paint with the Parlee Paint Lab.
