"The best all-round gravel bike I've ever tested"
For our second Bike of the Year win in 2025, BikeRadar has announced that the Taos is their 2025 Gravel Bike of the Year!
The whole Parlee team is elated to receive this recognition for the Taos and the work that has gone into pushing toward the future of gravel. In the ever-changing universe of gravel bikes, the Taos aims to strike a rare balance between speed and trail-taming capability.
In a recent BikeRadar review, reviewer Warren Rossiter called it “the best all-round gravel bike I’ve ever tested,” and that verdict is hard to debate (you won't hear any arguing from us).
The Taos takes a bold step away from our previous gravel bikes with a stretched, slacker geometry that invites confidence on rough terrain. From one look, you know it's not just a road bike with wider tire clearance.
The head tube sits slacker, the top tube more aggressively sloped, and tire clearance stretches to 50 mm—all while keeping the essentials like internal routing, UDH rear dropout, and generously sized down tube storage.
On mixed terrain the Taos remains composed, rolling over rough ground with grace and speed. Rossiter highlighted its ability to "simply sail over" challenging surfaces that would unsettle other elite gravel bikes.
With a lightweight (under 980 g for the frame in 56 cm) and purposefully engineered design, it can accept suspension forks and dropper post setups without compromising handling, a rare feat in gravel design.
For those who chase versatility, performance, and design integrity, the Taos delivers on all fronts.
The team here at Parlee is overjoyed to receive our second Bike of the Year award of 2025-- with the Ouray winning Bicycling's All-Road Bike of the Year. We are proud to garner such recognition for bikes that we designed and built with passion for the experience of our riders, and dedication to purposeful innovation.
These accolades are earned with our blood, sweat, and (sometimes) tears, so it's truly an honor to receive them.
We look forward to what's to come in 2026, and to making more of the best bikes in the world.
